The Dance

Off to the dance, off to the revelry

I’ve left to dance the night away with them,

Off to join the wild debauchees

I was in bed, the night still as can be

Then they came to the window, whisked me off

Off to the dance, off to the revelry

I went with them and lo, they had a mask for me!

I breathed its perfume, and I was off

Off to join the wild debauchees

I enjoyed waves of electricity

I recall wild dance while I was off

Off to the dance, off to the revelry

I recall drinking queer tasting wine, you see?

And sipping nectar from the trees while I was off

Off to join the wild debauchees

When I woke, my head ached terribly

Lost, nude in the woods, I bemoaned going

Off to the dance, off to the revelry,

Off to join the wild debauchees
