Resolutions

There was a young lad from Japan

Who wanted to become a man

As New Year’s approached

He resolved to be coached

If only his coach had a plan

There was also a girl we called Gwen

Who did not have a way with the men

When New Year’s eve came

A man was her aim

If only her age wasn’t ten

I met with another man who

Never could say what was true

I asked if he resolved

To get doctors involved

He said that he did, through and through

And let’s not forget my friend Grace

Who has a tattoo on her face

She said that she planned

To remove the brand

It left quite the conspicuous trace

Resolutions are hard to achieve

But please do not let this deceive

In 2019

Take my poem to mean

You may reach your goal, I believe!
