He Who Steals Time arrived at his next target. He saw a woman, and the infant that she held in her arms. He took a strange device from his belt, one similar to a pocket watch, but with far more hands, and a queer crystal lens at the top. He peered through the lens at the child, and upon examining the dial, he grinned. This child had 112 years left! He would normally have taken a small portion, but this was too much to pass up. He reached out his hand, and the child’s remaining time was now the thief’s.
