I had a dream once; in this dream, I died.
My body stopped, and from it I emerged.
I soon forgot this ultimate divide,
For nothing showed that my two halves diverged
The place I was looked just like my hometown;
At first, I did not know that I had died.
But, I looked a little closer, and found
That this was not the home where I reside.
Sanity soon fell away from the world
For this place knows no purpose nor meaning.
I learned that from the cosmos I’d been hurled.
Doomed, lost, and nothing intervening.
I woke to find that it had been a dream,
But not that place, at least to me it seems
