It’s dark outside today,
The clouds are grey and thick with rain
That falls, a wall of grey and song.
Little drops, so cool and clear,
Are little notes that all combine
In a symphony of musical noise.
It’s lonely outside today,
The park is empty and abandoned,
There’s no one here, save me
The only signs of people here,
Are distant sounds of cars on pavement
Drowned out by the song
It’s calm outside today,
Oh sure, it’s dark, and oh so sad,
But it’s beautiful indeed.
I wish I could stay here forever.
In the dark, and in the rain,
